Origins of a dream

The winemaking origins of Bodegas Maset date back to 1777, when the land was part of the Montserrat abbey's fiefdom, and its current owners, the Massana family, had to pay tributes to work them. Since then, ten generations of the Massana family have been tied to agriculture on the Maset del Lleó estate.

A singular history

By 1958, Bodegas Maset had already been consolidated as a wine and cava producer. Antoni Massana bought an old truck and began distributing fruits, vegetables, wines and cavas directly to Barcelona. In this way, one of the distinctive features of Bodegas Maset was born: direct customer service.

The first call

At the end of the 80s, the evolution of the telephone gave way to better, much more personalised and efficient service. Through this direct contact with clients, Bodegas Maset began a fruitful period of expansion that led it to transform and improve the original winery without losing the family character.
